Stephanie Foos is another fine young artist with a flare for jazz. As a singer she learned early on to scat from listening to Ella and Sarah along with many other top jazz vocalists. Her dynamic performances always thrill audiences.
In 2010 she released a 6 song EP with Coop playing guitar, covering such timeless classic jazz tunage as Fly Me to the Moon, Summertime, The Nearness of You, Georgia and others. A special guest appearance by pianist Joey Curtin added a nice touch.
Now she is about to embark on a full-length studio recording of timeless Christmas classics all done with that jazz touch here at the Sound Garage. Backed with a quartet of stellar players, guitarists Bernie Baker and label president Marc Cooper, upright bassist Bruce Calin and Kenji Kato on drums this recording won't disappoint fans of all ages.
